Hobbiton Silver Tour

HOBBITON SILVER TOUR including Matamata Gatehouse visit and Gollum statue photo op and a very special 2.5 hour guided tour of Hobbiton including the new 'Behind the Door' themed Hobbit home plus Lake Karapiro - home of New Zealand rowing.

Usually operates as a small group tour by People Mover or mini bus with experienced driver guide. 

Operates daily except sundays for a minimum of 4 at various times to suit you between 6am and 2pm subject to availability of driver/guide and vehicle. Total time from Auckland around 8 hours. Normal departure time 11am - return about 7pm. Operates for a minimum of 2 for additional cost.

Your choice of dark or light beer, apple cider, or non alcoholic Ginger Ale. New from 01 December 2023 is an immersive experience inside a Hobbit Hole in Bagshot Row  open to the public for the first time. Features include an entry hall, two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and dining area, a pantry, and a crackling fireplace to make you feel at home.
