Flexible times between 7am - 3pm. Total time away from Auckland approximately 5  hours 

A buffet lunch fit for Hobbits, and where seconds are encouraged, is available in the Party Marquee adjacent to the Green Dragon Inn for tours departing Auckland 9am - 10.30am - extra cost $35 per person.

Cruise ship passengers: Depart the cruise terminal at 9am returning by 3.00pm.

Includes the new 'behind the door' recreated 3 room Hobbit House in Bagshot Row opened 01 December, 2023

** Transfer from your inner city accommodation or cruise terminal to the helicopter base 

** Take off from downtown Auckland and cruise above the city, Bombay Hills, and fertile Waikato farmlands. See Auckland City, Waikato River, and the Hobbiton Movie set from the air.

** Land at the Shires Rest to be met by your guide for a tour of the Movie Set before returning to Auckland.

EC120

This Eurocopter/Airbus helicopter is a single turbine engine usually used for up to 4 passengers and offers superb visibility, spacious cabin, and ample leg room. 

EC130   

This Eurocopter/Airbus helicopter features forward facing seating, low vibration levels, and unobstructed views. Comfortably seats 6 passengers and is the mainstay of commercial VIP charters.

Squirrel AS355 (twin engine)   Surcharge applies

The Squirrel is a roomy and comfortable helicopter accomodating up to 5 passengers and is the mainstay of many tourist operations.

Deposits and payments

A deposit of 50% is payable within 7 days of reservation being confirmed.

The balance is due 2 months prior to departure.

Cancellation Fees

Tours cancelled up to 1 month prior to departure forfeit the deposit

Tours cancelled up to 1 month prior to departure: 25% is forfeited

Tours cancelled 1 month - 7 days prior to departure 50% is forfeited

Tours cancelled less than 7 days prior to departure 100% is forfeited
