Tuesday 05 August/ Monday 04 August 2025 AUCKLAND - NIUE (D)
9.05am. Depart Auckland aboard Air New Zealand flight NZ936. Cross the dateline and arrive Niue 1.35pm Monday. Enjoy a short orientation tour en route to our accommodation at Matavai Resort, Welcome drink and resort orientation and the rest of the day is free to relax by the pool and enjoy the view from your clifftop location. Maybe even see a whale or two swim by! Welcome dinner included tonight.
Tuesday 05 August (again!). NIUE (CB)
Our 4 hour morning tour of introduction includes Alofi, the 'capital'. Discover the history and culture of Niue, the cliffs, rock pools, and forest. Mask and snorkel provided with the opportunity to explore one or more of the pools. Light refreshments included.
This afternoon we will visit the Maala Garden to see the process of growing the 10 main exotic fruits in Niue with the chance to taste and buy. Also visit a Vanilla plantation with 30,000 organic vanilla vines and learn about growing, harvesting, and packaging vanilla.
Wednesday 06 August. NIUE - Whale Watch (CBD)
Our included morning cruise is our opportunity to meet the whales and maybe even swim with them! The afternoon is free to watch from the balcony or whatever you want. Island buffet dinner included tonight at Manuiz Restaurant
Thursday 07 August. NIUE. (CB)
This morning we explore the East Coast including the village of Hakupu, Anapala Chasm, Togo Chasm with tropical rainforest walk, and Hikulagi Sculpture Park. We will also hunt for the Uga coconut crabs (one of Niue's delicacies) with the chance to cook and taste.
Optional Royal Feast at Kaiiki restaurant tonight - extra cost $45. Includes Miso soup, small Ahi Salad, 4 piece Carpaccio, 6 pieces Tempura, and small Chirashi
Friday 08 August. NIUE. (CB)
We will visit a local school this morning to meet the students and teachers and talk to them. $50 of your tour fee is given to the school,as a koha. We recommend a visit to the market in Alofi this morning. If you would like a second chance to see the whales (and possibly swim with them) I am holding some space which can be prebooked now - extra cost $305.
I will have a large car Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning which will be available for shuttling people around on a share basis. You are welcome to hire a car yourself if you wish to explore on your own.
Saturday 09 August NIUE. (CB)
Free day to explore at your leisure. Visit the shops saturday morning if you wish.
Sunday 10 August NIUE. (CBD)
Free day. I recommend a visit to a local church if you wish to enjoy local Polynesian singing. Final dinner tonight at the iconic Washaway cafe on the beach.
Monday 11 August/Tuesday 12 August NIUE - AUCKLAND. (CB)
Free morning. Check out is 10am but bags will be left with reception.
2.50pm. Depart aboard Air New Zealand flight NZ937. Cross the dateline again.
5.35pm. Arrival is scheduled at Auckland.

Cancellations 01 June - 05 July, 2025 - $3,000 is forfeited
Cancellations 06 July - 05 August, 2025 lose up to 100% of your tour cost
