QUEENSTOWN AND MILFORD SOUND. 4 days/3 nights - extendable.
Commence Queenstown DAILY 01 November, 2024 - 30 April, 2025 except 22 December to 06 January. (B-breakfast, L-lunch, D-dinner)
Day 1. ARRIVE QUEENSTOWN
Arrive Queenstown and you will be transferred to your hotel. We suggest arrive early and maximise your time in Queenstown. Check in may not be available before 2pm.
Day 2. GLENORCHY AND WALTER PEAK. (B. L or D)
Drive along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to beautiful Glenorchy and see some of the scenes from Lord of the Rings movies. Return to Queenstown and board the historic steamer "Earnslaw" for the cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Sheep Station. Enjoy a barbecue meal (lunch or dinner) in a beautiful setting and return to Queenstown mid afternoon.
Day 3. MILFORD SOUND excursion - DOUBTFUL SOUND option. (B)
A day of fabulous scenery as you drive to Te Anau then on through the Eglinton and Hollyford Valleys and through the Homer tunnel to magnificent Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise to the head of the Sound under majestic Mitre Peak with picnic lunch included and see the Bowen Waterfall before returning to Queenstown. Picnic lunch included today.
DOUBTFUL SOUND option instead including cruise across Lake Manapouri, drive across Wilmos Pass, and cruise the length of Doubtful Sound returning to Queenstown early evening - extra cost $220
